This preservative has been linked to the increase of autism in children, Alzheimer's, and autoimmune diseases.<br>The use of d-limonene to prevent acid reflux may also provide a shield in the esophagus and stomach which will protect them from bacterial infections from bacterium such as the H. pylori. The H. pylori bacterium has been found to increase the risk of stomach cancer in patients. Successful studies have been conducted on the ability of d-limonene in inhibiting the growth of cancer cells since 1997. |
